graveyard part 4
![]() You wake up in an unfamiliar cabin. At first, it almost seems like you're in an entirely different place and that everything had been just a dream. The interior of the cabin looks nothing like the run-down, old-timey shacks that you had been living in before. Everything in here is sleek and modern, from the enormous flat-screen TV mounted on the wall to the fridge and mini-bars stocked with all your favorite foods. There aren't any individual rooms in here, just a common area large enough to house everyone comfortably, no matter how many more people join you...and there will be plenty more people joining you before the week is over. Because if you look outside the window, it quickly becomes clear that not only are you still in Prayer's Pass, but that you are no longer among the realm of the living. Judging from the tombstones directly outside, you're now in what had been the abandoned broken-down cabin in the graveyard. The cabin's not all that changed; the world outside has gone completely grey and everything you see appears to be faded and blurry. The only things that remain sharp and in color are what's inside the cabin, including your fellow ghosts. Occasionally, people who are still alive may enter, but it's clear that what they're seeing is completely different from what you're seeing. The door's unlocked; however, a mysterious force prevents you from stepping beyond the threshold, no matter how hard you may try. After all, this cabin is a cage for the dead - a gilded one, perhaps, but a cage nonetheless. On the flat-screen TV plays everything that is currently happening in the town. It will shut off once night starts...and something else will appear instead. |

How can you say that when America cheated?! This could have been him! You'd never just give up on America like that how can you just give up Liet!?

You're right, I would have fought. I would have screamed at everyone to save him, and when that didn't work, I would have tried to force their votes using any means possible. They would have had to knock me out first before I'd let any of them vote against him.
And they would have been right to do so. There's no point in bringing him back now when we're all likely going to go the same way if we don't get these clues out. I'm not giving up on him though - there has to be a way to save everyone.
1/2
It doesn't want us to win we were screwed when we got here!
2/2
Take America! Take America right now! He cheated! He cheated and you didn't punish him!
Take him! TAKE HIM TOO!
[He turns back to England.] You'll have to vote for Lithuania if they take America too!

That thought is in no way logical.

[Poland throws his left hand at Damian, intending to punch him where ever he can hit him.]
no subject
Let's go, Poland! Show us how much we should trust your sound and logical judgement!
[ He throws some hits of his own. If nothing else, maybe Father will throw Poland into the wall again.
Worth it. ]

But nothing hurts as much as possibility of never getting to see Lithuania again.
He keeps moving forward wordlessly, trying to herd Damian into a wall or a corner.]
no subject
But with the blows becoming increasingly half-hearted, it's almost like he lets himself get shoved against the wall. ]
What the hell is wrong with you, Poland? You're fighting as slow as you think!
no subject
My hands in this game are like... practically clean.
[Poland's left hand shoots out at Damian's neck without warning, and he throws his entire body into a pin to trap Damian against the wall.
His tone harshens, his english becoming more accented as he squeezes.]
But do you have any idea just how many deaths I've been responsible for in the centuries I've been alive?
What's one more?
no subject
Poland, don't. He's a child, just ignore him!
[But he already knows Poland is likely too far gone to care. He'd try to step in himself, but without his sight...]
Bruce, if you don't want your son to learn a painful and permanent lesson about pushing people too far, you'd better do something right now. I'd rather not find out what happens if we die again in this place!
[He sounds one hundred percent serious about this. Damian may be skilled, but this fight could only turn out one way. One hand missing isn't much of a handicap against thousands of years of experience.]
no subject
Maybe if I like kill him, he'll go where Lithuania is now. And that will sway Bruce's vote.
Maybe I'll just permanently kill someone important to everyone here and you can feel as I feel. Then you can all vote more accurately.
no subject
He can't get his legs high enough for a kick, and he knows it would be a waste of effort to try to pry the hand off.
The best he can do is try to punch Poland in the eyes until he lets go. And when Damian can talk again, rest assured he's going to point out that Father has already voted. That many of the people here have already voted. And no matter how Poland feels, Lithuania is not as important as Poland seems to think.
Maybe he'll phrase it differently. Maybe. ]

If you want to see Lithuania so badly, kill yourself! Do you think he'd be happy coming back, knowing you murdered a child for his sake after he put his life on the line to save everyone when he could have gotten out alive? You don't even have the excuse of being a hunter anymore!
[He has a rough idea of where Poland is now, so he'll make his way over there to try and pull him away from Damian.]

It's totally not about seeing Lithuania. Even if it was could you blame me? We're practically the only ones who never got any kind of closure. Unlike you and your super precious America.
I could forgive the others for saying it, but you are truly the stupidest one here if you believe Lithuania put his life on the line for us. We're nations, we're like inherently selfish creatures at our centers. He'd never.
He thought he was going to die. He thought there was no way out. That's why he shot Hanekoma. He thought it was how he was going to survive this game in the end. And now you've all screwed him over.
If it meant he'd get to come back, he'd be totally fine with me murdering whoever and whatever. Happy? no. But who gives a shit, he'd be here!
no subject
That's bullshit and you know it. If we're so selfish, why are you working so hard to save him when your best chance of getting back to your people alive is in these clues? If we're so selfish, why would America have risked himself saving Lithuania when he knew it'd make him a target for the hunters again? Why would we bother playing as hunters at all? You heard Spain - he did it to buy us time and more clues and now we have it!
He'd be here, but for how long? A day? Two? Just enough time to realize that we're all going to die for real anyway because we brought him back! The hunters have lost. But we can still do this. Winning the real game could save everyone, including him. And you're willing to give that up just for a few extra days? You won't need closure if these clues can bring everyone back!
no subject
You didn't believe they'd ever solve it when America died. What's three in one night going to do, with two buildings still locked?
You were right before. [Poland gestures at Damian with his now free hand.] We shouldn't hold our breaths.
no subject
[He switches back to English for the next part, his chin tilted up with pride.]
We are nations. We don't just roll over and die quietly without a fight. Not for Critter. Not for anyone.
no subject
After several seconds, he gets to his feet, taking special care to remain steady, and goes to sit near England.
He's going to hang out with the cool country now, Poland. You lost your chance to hang out with a Wayne, assface. ]

Point of advice...next time you antagonize someone, make sure it's not one of the Eastern Europeans. They might act harmless most of the time, but when they snap, they snap badly.
...actually, you're probably better off just avoiding provoking the countries in general.

I'm sorry.
But I am not giving up. Not on the hunters, not on the prey, not on this real game, and definitely not on Lithuania. We will see him again. And when we do, we'll let him have first go on kicking the shit out of Critter.
