graveyard part 3
![]() You wake up in an unfamiliar cabin. At first, it almost seems like you're in an entirely different place and that everything had been just a dream. The interior of the cabin looks nothing like the run-down, old-timey shacks that you had been living in before. Everything in here is sleek and modern, from the enormous flat-screen TV mounted on the wall to the fridge and mini-bars stocked with all your favorite foods. There aren't any individual rooms in here, just a common area large enough to house everyone comfortably, no matter how many more people join you...and there will be plenty more people joining you before the week is over. Because if you look outside the window, it quickly becomes clear that not only are you still in Prayer's Pass, but that you are no longer among the realm of the living. Judging from the tombstones directly outside, you're now in what had been the abandoned broken-down cabin in the graveyard. The cabin's not all that changed; the world outside has gone completely grey and everything you see appears to be faded and blurry. The only things that remain sharp and in color are what's inside the cabin, including your fellow ghosts. Occasionally, people who are still alive may enter, but it's clear that what they're seeing is completely different from what you're seeing. The door's unlocked; however, a mysterious force prevents you from stepping beyond the threshold, no matter how hard you may try. After all, this cabin is a cage for the dead - a gilded one, perhaps, but a cage nonetheless. On the flat-screen TV plays everything that is currently happening in the town. It will shut off once night starts...and something else will appear instead. |

...Goodness me.
Is there a kitchen and baking ingredients here? I have pressing matters to attend to.
[i.e.: get cake ready for charles' arrival....... #MAYFIELD CAKESQUAD PRIORITIES]

KANAYA IS EMOTIONALLY OVERWHELMED BY KYOUKO'S DEATH
BUT
SHE TURNS TO CIEL AND GESTURES HER ARM AT THE KITCHEN...]
That... way...

Have you been here all along?
[sorry she's still unhinged from josh's death and charles' poisoning. she's kind of still batshit right now, ftr.]

I would have sent something down but everyone wants their turn.

[so kirigiri too, huh...
oh well she can deal with that later.]
Have you been privy to everything?

You didn't even make it a whole day before you got yourself killed...

She just chuckles sheepishly in return.]
I suppose it was only fair. The preys had too much, otherwise.

Ah, Miki-san... Your arm is another one of those sacrifices, isn't it?

[ Annnd there goes her positivity. She manages to nod at Ciel's question, though the reminder makes her flinch. ]
Yeah. I wanted to make sure I couldn't use swords again. [ Not properly, anyway. ]

The brainwash that Kaname-san mentioned, right? Can you tell me more about that? Still, please know that no one begrudges you for it - or at least, not the preys. You were killing wolves, so everyone's grateful. Kaname-san's doing her best too, she's started voting as you might've noticed.

But then you were killed and Charles was poisoned on the same day. I would shoot anyone under these circumstances, I'm sure you'd be disappointed in us as well if we reacted any other way. [p.s. she is just a shade batshit. these two factors combined are legitimately what set off her KILL THEM ALL ASAP switch......] But it's not so bad a trade-off, I think. I don't have a role, the most that we lose is a scapegoat that could give wolves false hope prey will lynch one of their own. Besides, if I took out Kirigiri and lived, any semblance of illusion to an air of balance would be completely shattered. Granted, it's not much already... We all agree with you, Critter really doesn't want the wolves to win, does it?
--Oh, who're the other wolves, by the way? I was mad enough this morning to decisively plan out the next 2 days in full with everyone else. We're not leaving anything to chance though it doesn't generally deviate from what we already settled on last night. And don't remind me! I'm extremely disappointed that I won't get to carry Charles to trial today, chide him about drawing the wrong sort of attention, and embarrass him in front of the whole court. [She seriously looks petulant for a moment, and then...]

[aka JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL THE TRIAL...]

Ah, it appears he's sulking about it. I don't blame him - I'd be dreadfully bored if I was the last of us left too. Good thing he'll be joining us soon, hmm? [actually he's pretty annoyed that they've all been targeted, but it's not really a surprise]
no subject
[Quirking a brow! And yeah that's a cheery and not-too-stable smile either.] I was of the opinion to shoot Holden since he's likely armed, but we'll be taking him out at the trial today one way or another. Tanaka's vote should be secured by my note, and Oowada should be approached by either Lithuania or Maizono to vote with us. We've got his gun by the way, were you aware? That clears him too, which is quite the good news. I suppose a casualty among us may be inevitable if Holden feels too cornered, hence the original plan was to cast suspicion on Spain as well based on America's accusations. Of course, it'll only be for show. Mayu will be shot directly after, and tonight's plans as you know are Sharon Carter and Rikku, and the focus has always been on the former.
[She snorts.]
Charles seems to hold quite a grudge against miss Carter for some reason, speaking of which. As we've agreed however, she wasn't mentioned by Tony Stark in his noble exit despite seeming to be from their circle, so there's at least a strand of solid reasoning behind it. He'll certainly prioritize her, but as for something more immediate, with my death and his highly unstable temperament, I don't think giving Spain the image of a scapegoat will be bothered anymore.

Widening her eyes for a moment, she then just... quietly winces under her breath.]
Oh dear. That's... not just sulking, Joshua...
[they've unleashed a hellbeast...]

Would you like some help? There's not really much to do here.
no subject
[she'd need a cake the size of a skyscraper to make up to charles and she knows it, oops...]
no subject
Well it depends on how many cakes you could make. You could make layers and stack them of course. So possibly to the roof. You're making them for Charles?
[She has a feeling, only because she'd have to try to make things up to her brother if something like that had happened.]
no subject
As many as possible until his arrival, I suppose. And yes, it is: I was going to bake for him today after we took care of business, since he's been poisoned and it's his last day alive. But then this happened... Aha. He's definitely very upset with me right now... [Rubbing her temple, she gives a small sigh.] It'll be the least that I can do, though I didn't seriously expect to have the means to do so after our deaths. It's admittedly a nice surprise, having such a gilded cage for an afterlife. It's... very well equipped.
[yeah 'well equipped', and let's just leave it at that.
blinking once, she gives the whole place another glance.]
Do things magically restock here with no sense or reason, too?
