last notes

If your character has any notes that they plan on leaving behind in case of their death, post them here! However, once a character has died the Hunters will be free to search their room, so there's a chance that they will be able find whatever your character has left behind. All comments in this post will be screened.

Diary

Kanaya has made no effort to conceal her Pass-issued journal; it sits plainly on her desk for all to see. The entire thing is written in jade green cursive with Every Word Capitalized, with virtually no punctuation except for sparing surprise noodles question marks and shout poles exclamation points on particularly dubious or interesting entries respectively (though regular line breaks mean her intention is rarely too unclear).

Her first entry is a tentative starting one explaining that Ciel recommended she keep a diary and her acceptance that her death is a very probable part of this game. It goes on to record her general impressions after the trial. By the fourth day onward the notekeeping has become more elaborate.

Her general impressions are as follows:
  • If you open the journal at random it will only take about two pages to see some proof that Ciel and Kyouko are the residents of Prayer's Pass whom Kanaya reveres and respects the most and would trust with her life. Reverence is more for Ciel, whom she seems to see as older than herself notably, while peer's respect is Kyouko's domain.
  • Rikku she deeply regrets having voted for and feels eternally indebted towards.
  • Robin and Ukyo also made positive impressions, Robin in particular striking Kanaya as having been wrongly accused.
  • Joshua she doesn't trust entirely as he fits the profile of slippery hunter too well but does like to be allied with.
  • Madoka, Clara, the Doctor, Rapunzel, and Ada are noted as incredibly herbivorous in temperament.
  • Akane, though an abstainer, is of note because she did vote for Mayu in the second day's trial, and doesn't think the people who voted that way were stupid.
  • Sayaka is noted as Madoka's friend and likewise someone she trusts - her name's mentioned most in conjunction with the Innocent Nomination Theory, as she "Would Vote On This Basis".

Some pages describe characters in groups:
  • She's composed a list of the Hope's Peak students, with Kyouko's help - no notes about Aoi, Makoto, or Sayaka; mostly curiosity about Byakuya and Gundam's time travel rended relationship and the trustworthiness of either, as well as going to great pains to defend the girl with braids: Touko Fukawa is repulsed by an alien like her which grieves Kanaya as she has a genuine fatal attraction to the mystique of helping out the mentally ill, i.e. Syo, but as here she eloquently defends both incarnations of guilt in the actual game.
  • A list of the "nations", with notes that Poland is a wolf and England the protector, Lithuania and America respectively their best friends; Prussia, Spain, and Ukraine seem nice enough to her, in ascending order. She does not fully trust England but on the other hand does not disbelieve his claim to protectorhood. America however she does seem to trust.
  • The Nigma "family". To help herself understand them in addition to the traditional wife+mother/father+husband --> son tree she has also drawn Edward ♥ Ema and Luke ♦ Edward. Notes that Ciel, Charles, and Joshua are from the same city as this family.

Theories include the following:
  • The infamous implication of James Sunderland's votes for first Poland then Edward Nigma, followed by notes about his "family". This thread led to more notes.
  • A page of prey roles - England the protector and Luke the scapegoat. Below: "Hounds
?????" and Tracker - conjectures. Two out of eight so far.
  • The Unpleasant Line of Thought: Outlined here, this is the postulate that the prey lynching daily would lead to more net deaths than allowing the pack to win. However, Kanaya seems determined not to follow this theory to its logical conclusion, as it seems morally wrong to her as well as something Critter would not condone seeing through.
  • The Innocent Nomination Theory, her magnum opus: In the absence of further evidence Kanaya thinks an individual actively attempting to lynch an innocent is the best suspect. She notes regretfully this is what she did the first damn real day like an idiot. Beat or Ema might be a hunter on this basis though he seems too straightforward and she too kind. Joshua might be this too for wanting to lynch Babydoll but he did seem to have a pretty good reason. Bruce Wayne is the top candidate as he was trying so hard to find the scavenger.

Some lists can be found here, including the infamous day three trial lists. Also some daily vote lists.
