graveyard part 3
![]() You wake up in an unfamiliar cabin. At first, it almost seems like you're in an entirely different place and that everything had been just a dream. The interior of the cabin looks nothing like the run-down, old-timey shacks that you had been living in before. Everything in here is sleek and modern, from the enormous flat-screen TV mounted on the wall to the fridge and mini-bars stocked with all your favorite foods. There aren't any individual rooms in here, just a common area large enough to house everyone comfortably, no matter how many more people join you...and there will be plenty more people joining you before the week is over. Because if you look outside the window, it quickly becomes clear that not only are you still in Prayer's Pass, but that you are no longer among the realm of the living. Judging from the tombstones directly outside, you're now in what had been the abandoned broken-down cabin in the graveyard. The cabin's not all that changed; the world outside has gone completely grey and everything you see appears to be faded and blurry. The only things that remain sharp and in color are what's inside the cabin, including your fellow ghosts. Occasionally, people who are still alive may enter, but it's clear that what they're seeing is completely different from what you're seeing. The door's unlocked; however, a mysterious force prevents you from stepping beyond the threshold, no matter how hard you may try. After all, this cabin is a cage for the dead - a gilded one, perhaps, but a cage nonetheless. On the flat-screen TV plays everything that is currently happening in the town. It will shut off once night starts...and something else will appear instead. |

[:| You don't have to tell her twice. It felt like forever when she died.]
Who was there when you were being killed?

....that ....will be interesting.
The hunters here won't be happy. They still want to win even here.

[She shrugs.]
All we can do is wait for the end and see what happens. And from what you've said, it's going to be much sooner then people thought.

Every night the dead have been sacrificing things, hands, memories to unlock buildings and clues for the living to figure and solve this mysterious "real game". One thing is unlocked per night I believe.

However we can't do anything but unlock things where we are now. So I don't suppose it really matters.

[And what does that mean for the "real game"? That's what he really cares about now - the game of killing hunters and prey is just a coverup to him.
Oh and hi Josh.]
no subject
Well, you'll still have a night - even with as well as we're doing, we won't be able to finish them all off today. ['you', not 'we', because Josh has already sacrificed his life helping lead the prey to victory, like hell is he giving anything else up for a real game he's pretty sure is bullshit]
no subject
...I suppose you don't care about that, do you?
[He noticed that "you'll" in the sentence.]
no subject
Not particularly, no. What can this supposed real game give me that I haven't won already? The game's already over, even if the hunters don't know it yet - this mysterious one won't help save any more people. And if what you say is true, then you don't need me to unlock anything anyway.
Besides, it's not my fault that your side's done terribly. I still can't believe none of the hunters voted for me that night I was up against you.

It is a shame I cannot answer you in any way that would not divulge information I am not permitted to share. You will have to see when the smoke clears.
As for the others, my only guess is they didn't want to be implicated in your death by voting for you. But frankly, the risk would have been worth it considering a number of people voted for you despite being Prey. Among them being Ema, the deerhound.

It was what lost them the game, the inability to work together and control the trials. They were too concerned with their own survival to take a gamble for the good of their team. And it's why we've won. Once we gathered a large enough group of prey that were willing to trust each other and risk their lives for the sake of victory, the game was ours.

[Frown frown]
I imagine it won't be as nice as this.

[tilts his head] I should thank you, actually. You and Ema both. It was because of your notes that we knew to get in contact with Spain and Maizono so we could all work together.
no subject
And I'm glad they helped! I just hope Ciel knows what to do with them now. I let her copy the notes I had last.
no subject
Oh believe me, she does. We have quite the large prey alliance now, thanks to them. The hunters have nowhere to hide.
