night six; hunters

Once again, as everyone remains locked inside with a raging blizzard outside, you awake at 11 PM precisely to find the door from your cabin open.
Outside, despite the sounds of a blizzard and the whiteout blocking the views from your window, the world is still and calm. The ground and trees are blanketed in thick snow, but no snow is falling and the wind is no longer blowing.
You're all familiar now with what awaits you in the clearing behind the woods, near the caves at the base of the mountain. Still, even if you thought to resist, you are unable to disobey the call that brings you to where your fellow hunters gather.
Several of the trees nearby have long pieces of parchment nailed to them. In case you'd somehow forgotten, the rules you are bound by are nailed there:
You are a hunter. Your role is to devour prey.
→ In this game, there are hunters, prey, and scavengers. Everyone here is a hunter, and everyone else is either prey or scavenger.
→ Every night, the hunters will meet and pick someone to kill. Then, a few lucky hunters will get to kill the prey themselves!
→ The next day, everyone will get together. The prey will try to find out who the hunters are!
→ At the end of the day, there will be a trial, and one player will be chosen. Whoever is chosen will be executed!
→ The hunters will win if they outnumber the other players or kill all of the prey!
→ Be careful and be smart! Don't let the prey know who you are, and try to make other prey look suspicious! Remember that some prey is dangerous to you. They might have special abilities that will help them find out who you are!
→ Always keep in mind the scavengers, too. Some of them may just be hunting YOU!
As a hunter, you have particular incentives.
→ In this game, the only ones guaranteed to live are those still standing at the end.
→ If the prey win, all of the hunters will be killed.
→ If the hunters win, the survivors can make a request. If you request all the dead to return to life, all players will leave this place unharmed.
→ The only way to guarantee everyone leaves here alive is for the hunters to kill the prey and win the game!
As hunters, you are sworn to secrecy.
→ You may not tell prey or scavengers about your incentives. You may not hint to anyone about your incentives. You may not try to help them figure it out.
→ If you are found out as a hunter, you may tell prey you were bribed or threatened. You cannot tell them about the special rules or that anyone can come back to life.
→ You may not help prey or scavengers. You may not assist them in any way. You may not attempt to throw the game. You may not reveal your fellow hunters.
→ If a hunter helps the prey or reveals the hunters' incentives, that prey will be killed. There will also be consequences for the hunters.
→ If the betrayal was intentional and serious, at the end of the game, none of the dead will be revived.
→ Otherwise, if there was a betrayal, at the end of the game the dead prey will be revived, but the dead hunters will remain dead.
As a hunter, you had a choice to play.
→ All of you agreed to be here.
→ All of you are bound by these rules.
→ All of you betray your own lives and the lives of the other players if you break them.
OOC: Please read this explanation of how night posts will work.

Mr. England explained everything to me earlier today. I am very, very angry, but I understand the new rules assigned and I intend to win this game for the hunters. Do not mistake me: I don't enjoy slaughter. But if this is what it will take to save us all, so be it.
[ She's accepted it already. ]
And now I have several things to explain to all of you. Listen up closely.

They're probably going to kill me tomorrow. I voted for Ema. One of them apparently suspects me anyway. And I got into a fight with America.
Just a head's up so you guys can plan for being down another hunter.

Re: discussion
One. Again, we have to decide who to kill and whom to poison. Does anyone know what happened to Akane?
Two. It took three votes tonight to kill Ema Skye. Akane might die anyway. Bucky got one vote, Ciel and Lithuania each got one. Joshua got two. If the trials can be decided based on three votes, I think we could take advantage of that. If two of us decide to vote for Joshua tomorrow, it wouldn't attract much suspicion and could get rid of a prey. To be blunt, the way this game is set up, it seems all we would have to do is apologize after.
The third thing is that I want to discuss all the weirder goings-on. Mayu's bunny. The picture that may or may not be James Sunderland's wife. The supply shop that's open now and apparently has weapons. If the game were just us trying to outnumber the prey and them trying to kill all of us, it would be one thing, but this stuff happening... I think there's more to it. Does anyone has any theories about it?

Let's try to narrow it down, even if it's all conjecture from there. I highly doubt it's Spain, as he would have investigated me or at least told us when we met the other nations once it was made clear that countries could die here.

First of all... I will make a confession.
I am responsible for the murders of Sanae Hanekoma and Robin. I am- I was- the 'protector'. I am the killer with the gun, who was never shown on video. My role meant that I was the only prey that could kill at night. I was given the choice every single night; as you can already conclude, I often chose 'no one'. I was not shown on video because, as a prey-aligned role, Critter deemed it unnecessary. It gave me access to a variety of weapons, which I can no longer reach; I chose guns because I do not believe in drawing out a death unnecessarily.
In that respect, you were extremely wise to convert me. I would have found and killed every single one of you if I could have. I do not apologize for the killings I committed; at the time, I did what I believed to be right.
I marked Robin's body with a symbol which I identified to Ema Skye. I planned for this to clear me in her eyes. It worked- unfortunately, of course, she is dead now. But it remains that I have a solid defense against any conversion accusations. I gave Ema my permission to let others know that my role existed- not who I was. If it comes down to it, I will announce it publicly. It is the story I am going to stick with: that I'm the protector and that hasn't changed at all.
[ She pauses, lingering on what she's going to say next. ]
Additionally, Makoto Naegi has been lying to you all. [ She turns towards Naegi, her face blank and smooth as a mask. ] He has a gun in his possession.
[ Reaching into the back of her skirt, Kirigiri removes a pistol. It's no toy; she cocks the hammer to let them all hear. ]
And I have one. This gun- and Naegi-kun's, as well- is loaded with a single shot. It is guarantee to hit and kill whoever it is fired at.
Sayaka Maizono gave them to us. She has a role known as 'defender'. Her role allows her to assign one gun per night to a person of her choosing. These guns can be used at any time; they are also a defense against scavengers at night, although that will not be an issue now. They cannot be used against us, the hunters.
I implore that we do not kill Maizono-san. I will not see her killed. Her role is defensive, not offensive: she cannot use her own guns. She also knows that I am the protector- and she trusts me unconditionally.
[ She turns the gun over, staring at it. ]
Although I partly want to keep Maizono-san alive for selfish reasons... [ She hesitates. Sayaka has grown to be a very important person to her here. ] ...We also need to keep her alive because I can control her decisions. In other words... I can influence her to keep giving me weapons, which I can redistribute to the rest of you. [ There's a flicker of emotion on her normally blank face; she looks a little pained. She doesn't really want to take advantage of her friend. ]
That is all I have to say. I explained all of these things to England already. I am explaining them to all of you now in the interest of being as transparent as possible.
If you have any questions for me, ask now.

Re: discussion
Obviously nobody's in the mood to off a Hope's Peak kid or a nation tonight. So... Bucky Barnes? Wait, Ms. Carter and Mr. Stark said something about Barnes at some point. Shit, uh... maybe Charles but Joshua or Ciel wouldn't have done that and after Ema I think one of them would be really easy to get lynched especially since she voted for Akane who's gonna show up as prey...
That's what I've got so far. Just trying to open the floor here.

Who are we voting for?
Akane Kurashiki - likely dead tonight
Aoi (Naegi)
Bucky Barnes (Tony and Sharon)
Charles Fei-Ong
Ciel
Clara Oswin (Think of England)
Eleventh Doctor (England)
Joshua Kiryu (Formerly protected by Hanekoma)
Luke Triton (Edward)
Madoka Kaname
Rikku
Spain (England)
Touko Fukawa (Naegi)
As you can see, things are getting tough. It looks like our best bets for tonight are Madoka and Rikku. Which is less likely to be protected and can be poisoned?
Also, there's been talk that killing Luke might be a mercy at this point. I suggest voting for him at trial. Those deaths are fairly quick and painless, so even if he's lying about how no one would die that night... it's still an option.
And we have too many people who we're trying to protect if we can. I suggest that we each stick to one person each and open up the kills tomorrow night.
[ She sighs and rubs the bridge of her nose. ] And Tony, England, Kirigiri, and even America might be on the chopping block over the course of the next few days. We have to divert suspicion from them and onto others. Whatever you can do, do it. We can't afford to lose any more hunters.
So let's here it. Who's getting boiled, and who's getting poisoned?

Critter is willing to open our doors early so we can search our victim's cabin for any last notes they left behind. There's a chance we'll get caught if we linger too long, but this is still a huge advantage for us that we should be taking full advantage of, especially when we suspect that the person we're killing has information or a role.
Ada, would you be willing to search Rapunzel's rooms at dawn? I can come along as well, or anyone else who thinks they have a chance of being suspected soon and would like to volunteer.

She has asked that we work together from now on in planning for investigations, and I am to give her the results.
I had to make some snap decisions but... if anyone has any requests or advice... I guess now would be the time to discuss it.
vote
You will have until 8 PM EST on May 16 to cast your vote for the night kill. Missing the night vote without informing us beforehand will count towards the two missed votes you're allowed, but if you let us know you'll be missing it your vote will simply be randomized.
Please reply with the name of the person you're voting for in the subject line.

→ Each night, you will be able to choose any player.
→ That player will be poisoned. The next day, they will fall ill, and will learn that they will die without medical attention.
→ If a protective role attends to the prey, they will be safe. Otherwise, they will die the next day.
→ You will be able to attempt to poison someone only three times during the game.
Two poisonings remain.

questions for critter
But if your character asks a specific question about the game, it just might answer.]

These rules are problematic when applied to me. Especially the third section. I have been doing nothing but helping the prey. Am I to suddenly stop doing so? It would be incredibly suspicious.
What if I intentionally mislead them? Will that go against the 'you may not help them' rule?
