With night's fall, the television broadcasting everything happening in town turns off; even the ghosts will have to be kept in suspense over who will be joining them come morning. A list appears on the table in front of the TV with a ballpoint pen lying next to it.

There are plenty of things I'd love to forget, but it has to be something important for it to work. And our experiences are what defines us - I have no guarantee that I'd be the same person as before if I forgot something that major. [he shudders a little] I could never do something like that. I'd rather be blind and know exactly what it was I sacrificed.

France's ugly face. The entire fourteenth century. The Profumo affair. Robert Green. Actually, let's make that every World Cup since 1966. That time I dropped by to see Australia and found him pissing around with a spider as big as my head.

[Relieved.]

All my history's been awesome, but I'd forget almost any of it, I don't really care.

It's not like there's much there to forget. Besides, if you don't really care, then it won't be able to unlock anything. [pause] Really, any of it?

Yup! Just about!

[tilting his head] I can't tell if you're being serious or not. I honestly don't know how any country can give up what makes them who they are, even if their history is as riddled with embarrassments as yours.

My history doesn't make me who I am, though. I mean, there's some stuff, people mainly. Like, I'd never forget about George Washington or anything. But I'm just great naturally.

Naturally dim, more like. Well, you probably won't have to give anything up, it looks like we have enough people lining up for tonight. Out of curiosity though, what would you choose to forget?

Nah, I'd probably get a robot hand. I don't really care about most of my memories.

[rubs his temples and sighs] Ugh, just forget it. We're better off without you offering anything anyway.

Because you're not taking it seriously, prat! You'll just wind up offering something you don't care about and we won't be able to unlock anything with it.

I just don't care that much about any stuff, because I could just replace it super easily with robots or something! So there's nothing to give up! Except freedom. Do you want me to give up freedom?
