At 11 PM every night, a loud click in your room interrupts the howling of the blizzard as well as whatever you were doing, followed by the sound of creaking hinges. The source of the noise is immediately apparent: the rug in your room has been pushed aside by the top of a trapdoor springing open underneath it. Looking down the opening, you can see a set of stairs leading down into the darkness. A strong, musty odor drifts up, as though whatever's down there hasn't been exposed for a long time.
If you sate your curiosity and descend the stairs, you'll find that it's not so dark down there after all: there is a very dim light coming from the walls. If you find the switch, the space down here illuminates, revealing a rough-looking room with stone walls. On one of the walls is a cabinet; upon opening it, you find a variety of weapons, from guns to swords and everything in between. There is a table with leather straps in the middle of the room, as well as a chair outfitted with similar restraints. It could be a torture chamber or an interrogation room. Either way, it's obvious that its intent is not pleasant.
