Then perhaps that's what he's drawing off of. It doesn't mean he's any less foolish -- we're almost two weeks in and it's been clear from the start none of our special objects or talents work unless they're feasibly something anyone could have.

But looking at it from that way... it would make sense as to why he thought he could do something here.
