graveyard part 2

hunter's game the graveyard

You wake up in an unfamiliar cabin.

At first, it almost seems like you're in an entirely different place and that everything had been just a dream. The interior of the cabin looks nothing like the run-down, old-timey shacks that you had been living in before. Everything in here is sleek and modern, from the enormous flat-screen TV mounted on the wall to the fridge and mini-bars stocked with all your favorite foods. There aren't any individual rooms in here, just a common area large enough to house everyone comfortably, no matter how many more people join you...and there will be plenty more people joining you before the week is over.

Because if you look outside the window, it quickly becomes clear that not only are you still in Prayer's Pass, but that you are no longer among the realm of the living. Judging from the tombstones directly outside, you're now in what had been the abandoned broken-down cabin in the graveyard. The cabin's not all that changed; the world outside has gone completely grey and everything you see appears to be faded and blurry. The only things that remain sharp and in color are what's inside the cabin, including your fellow ghosts. Occasionally, people who are still alive may enter, but it's clear that what they're seeing is completely different from what you're seeing. The door's unlocked; however, a mysterious force prevents you from stepping beyond the threshold, no matter how hard you may try. After all, this cabin is a cage for the dead - a gilded one, perhaps, but a cage nonetheless.

On the flat-screen TV plays everything that is currently happening in the town. It will shut off once night starts...and something else will appear instead.

[She switches as well.]

Yes ....there were...horrible times and I think he just wanted to stop ...being there. He couldn't do anything to help his people and every so often he'd just ....go into moods like that. ....

[She pauses to try and get her thoughts together.]

It was like when brother was under all of that pressure from his people and eventually he just ....well he broke a little. Lithuania couldn't help his people so ...sometimes he just shut off himself.

...we all found ways like that to cope with things...

[Poland tugs on his sleeve, giving his fidgeting fingers something to do. Poland could understand Lithuania needing something to get him through the days in Russia's home, but...]

But. Me dying couldn't have been as bad as something like Liet's people suffering.

motheringnation: (It's alright brother)

[personal profile] motheringnation 2013-05-29 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
But he has as much control over the situation here as he did then. He can't stop people from dying. He could't stop you from dying or being forced to be a hunter.

I think it was just too much at once and he started to fall back into his old habits.
notyetlost: (...ah.)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-05-29 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Poland's not sure he'll ever really be able to understand, given that he didn't have the same experiences as Ukraine and Lithuania had living in Russia's home together. He's a little grateful for that, his own history with Russia had been bad enough... but he can't help but think about Lithuania's scars.

...He wonders if Ukraine knows about them or if Lithuania kept that a secret from her as well. But he won't ask that.]

...you think he'll be able to keep going, with both of us gone?
notyetlost: (think)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-05-29 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No one's asked yet. [Poland's been thinking about this for a while though, himself.]

I'll ask tonight.

What do the hunters get if they win? You're obviously still rooting for them, but you've killed a bunch of the people here.

It isn't money. We're already dead. And it has to be more than just-

[ They still can't tell even though they're dead. Which means...

He goes quiet and looks around to see if Critter is around, then silently puts his chin on his knees. ]

Poland is stupid anyway.

axeforasong: (It'll grow back!)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Not that stupid.

Critter wants Prey to win, yes? Is enough reason to not want Prey to win.
hintcoinplz: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] hintcoinplz 2013-05-29 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm surprised we can even eat. I always figured if I ever became a ghost, all I'd be doing is going through walls and haunting people.
notyetlost: (nervous)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-05-29 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sigh... Lithuania. Relying on Lithuania's own abilities was one thing, all the odds suddenly being stacked against him like this was something else entirely.]

Maybe baltic luck. [But it's really not very lucky at all.]

[Poland won't answer as usual.

But he is smiling at Mayu's reasoning.]
notyetlost: (pink lots of pink)

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-05-29 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Who'd you give it to?

I mean giving it to Lithuania is way too obvious right?
notyetlost: (hold up)

I want a refund for this Trial

[personal profile] notyetlost 2013-05-29 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Poland throws up his hands hand... ARMS exasperatedly.]

No, that's like totally cool Naegi! Just freaking give up like basically every other hunter in a trial did. No biggie!

It's not like you had a gigantic out staring you in the face with Liet being the only one who can read Ukraine's diary and my diary at this trial or anything!

I'm so over this!

speakveryclearly: Kanaya roaring with rage and truth, fully exposing her fangs and furious glow. Jade lipstick and eye makeup. (Disproof)

"Lithuania framed me." Three words! That's all he would have had to say, and he has no less than four schoolmates who would vouch for him unconditionally. But no! He just has to sacrifice himself to save them even though they're prey and we know traitors never prosper. His final words are even lies in spite of it all - creating the perfect cover for Kyouko once and for all since apparently he only cares about his friends rather than whatever welfare the wolves are so frantically pursuing.

WHEN HE CONVERTED KYOUKO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Does he REALIZE that? IF THE PREY WINS, KYOUKO WILL HAVE TO DIE!
tsunneverset: (ponder)

[personal profile] tsunneverset 2013-05-29 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
No...it was smart. Probably the first smart move he's made all game, actually. Even if he claimed to have been framed, it wouldn't have come off as believable in the least and he would have most likely been executed anyway. This way, he's set up our path to victory.

Don't you get it? If the prey accepts his word at face value, that means they'll stop looking for the convert...which means that Kirigiri, who had caught two hunters beforehand and has proven her role multiple times, is now completely clear. They'll be trusting her with information - including who the new watcher is, as well as any other roles we may be missing. We don't need Naegi to win. We only need Kirigiri.
axeforasong: (I can play too!)

The execution

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Welp, it's that time again; Rabbit oh Rabbit what will you do now... boulders?

Huh, it didn't work; detective's friend must be very lu-]
axeforasong: (It would get everywhere!)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
-BEARS!!

[so hands up anyone who knew Mayu could scream. BRB HIDING BEHIND THE NEAREST PERSON]

[personal profile] glowing_skye 2013-05-29 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Bears are what scare you? Seriously?
axeforasong: (It'll grow back!)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Is very bad to meet bears without axe! [I mean, look what happened]

[personal profile] glowing_skye 2013-05-29 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
There are ways to avoid getting mauled without...

[Oh, who is she kidding, that bear killed Naegi for no reason other than a spectacular execution.]

Okay, fine. You have a point.
axeforasong: (It's okay! I'll just stab it!)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[don't worry, you've survived a vat of acid.

You'll make good cover.]

Will he bring bear with him?

We should all demand refunds

[personal profile] glowing_skye 2013-05-29 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
No, England's right. That was a very savvy move.

[Don't mind her, she's just sulking over it.]

Re: Trial watching

[personal profile] glowing_skye 2013-05-29 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hi, this is Mom, covering your eyes.]

[personal profile] glowing_skye 2013-05-29 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt it. I didn't arrive with a vat of acid, Bruce didn't arrive with a pistol, Luke didn't arrive with milk...

Pretty sure the cause of death doesn't follow him here. Besides, we're already dead.
hintcoinplz: (Bollocks)

[personal profile] hintcoinplz 2013-05-29 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mayfield has given Luke a pretty intense fear of bears. The moment he sees the beast popping out of nowhere he gives a shriek and hides under the nearest of furniture he can find.]
axeforasong: (Now that's just unpleasant)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-05-29 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Bears can still hurt!
